On October 12, the online builder platform Novoresume launched a new AI resume generator designed to combat the rising trend of job losses caused by unchecked artificial intelligence output. Unlike fully autonomous writers, this system drafts the document based on a specific job posting but intentionally leaves crucial metrics and facts as blank placeholders. This approach forces applicants to manually verify and input their own concrete achievements, directly addressing the risks of AI hallucinations in application materials.

The Cost of Unedited Applications
The decision to restrict autonomous fact generation stems from a May 2026 survey of 2,000 U.S. adults, which revealed the severe consequences of relying entirely on artificial intelligence. According to the data, 27.1% of job seekers submitted applications written completely by algorithms without making any edits. Consequently, individuals who let software generate their entire document were three times more likely to include inaccurate information compared to manual writers, leading one in four to report losing a job due to these fabrications.
Company co-founder Andrei Kurtuy explained that the tool was explicitly designed to handle structure and targeted phrasing while preventing blind submissions. By keeping every numerical value and specific detail as a placeholder, the platform ensures candidates remain responsible for the factual accuracy of their career history.
Built for Tailoring and ATS Compliance
To use the system, candidates provide a target role, a brief career background, and the description of the open position. The resulting draft populates professional summaries and skill sections but replaces figures with bracketed markers like “[X]%” for manual completion. Once the draft enters the main editor, an assistant evaluates it against applicant tracking system rules—a crucial step given that 82.3% of recruiters rely on such screening software. HR professionals and career coaches who tested the platform noted that this guided, placeholder-driven method prevents the guesswork typical of blank text documents while naturally encouraging candidates to quantify their real achievements.
